Pot dropper modifications
Maverick have just completed a refurbishment of a Grunwald rotary filling system pot dropper loader. For a considerable time the loading mechanism for the pot dropper had been mis-loading and jamming; as a result and following installation of new data logging equipment, it was recorded that the line was showing a down time of 2 hours per day due to operators rectifying the mis-load and restarting the machinery. Following a short period of time observing this fault we designed and built a new marshalling system to effectively separate the stacks of pots allowing only one stack at a time to enter the magazine section of the pot dropper. This system was also designed to utilise the machines existing software and pneumatics meaning the installation was virtually a straight swop from the existing. The machine now runs within acceptable tolerances, which has also reduced the amount of people required to run the machine.
